We won Red Dot award!
Designers from all over the world gathered for one evening at the Aalto Theater in Essen, Germany, and we were among them. We are happy to announce that Alca has become the proud winner of Red Dot 2024!
Technology and design go hand in hand
During the gala evening the series of flush plates Linka and Dot.Dot. WC was awarded. These flush plates were created in 2023 in collaboration with the renowned Czech designer Lucie Koldová, who stamped the collection with originality and minimalism. The flush plates are characterized by soft, yet strict lines and precise processing. However, their user-friendly features, which guarantee perfect comfort during everyday use, are not far behind. The entire collection was created by Alca Development Dept, managed by Tomáš Krist, who came to Essen to take over the award personally. "When a person receives an award for the work that he has contributed to, it is satisfying. Cooperation with a designer is always an interesting diversion and a bit of a challenge for us as technicians. The Red Dot jury clearly told us that we overcomed this challenge, " Tomáš Krist does not hide his enthusiasm.
Winning award for Alca
Red Dot 2024 is the third design award in a row, but the most important, that the Linka and Dot.Dot. collections have won. It is the world's most famous design competition. The competition was founded in 1955 in Essen, Germany. Companies and designers can compete in three categories, Alca scored in Product Design category. Winning this award was preceded by successes in the iF Design Award and Czech Grand Design 2024 competitions. The Red Dot Design Award completes this series of success achievements.
