Best of Realty is synonymous for success in the real estate business. The competition for the best development project was held this year for the twenty-fifth time. The ceremony announcing the results for the year 2023 took place last week in Karlín Forum Prague. As every year, the most successful development projects in the Czech Republic were awarded. And we were there.
Alongside the best
The gala evening was attended by Radka Prokopová, the owner of Alca, accompanied by two members of the Prague sales team, Marek Zelenka and Lukáš Pytlíček. The projects were divided into 6 different categories and more than 80 of them strived to win. Alca directly participated in several winning projects as a supplier. For example Masaryčka of the Penta group, Port7 of the Skanska company, Fragment of the Trigema company, the Parvi Cibulka project or Jinonický dvůr.Alca supplied sanitary equipment to these, but also to a number of other nominated projects.
"Participating in something that is successful is always a joy. At the same time, it is also a clear signal that Alca is a good partner that you can rely on. My hearty congratulations to all the awardees, especially Petr Palička from the Penta company, who was inducted into the hall of fame during the evening. I look forward to further cooperation," says Radka Prokopová. "We supplied buildings with products ranging from toilet modules to outdoor drainage channels. Development projects are always an interesting opportunity for us. But when the project is successful, it's also a nice feedback for us," adds Marek Zelenka.
Prestigious competition with more than 20 years tradition
The Best of Realty competition was established in 1999 and, since its inception, has been mapping and transparently evaluating and awarding properties realized in the territory of the Czech Republic, which were newly built or underwent major reconstruction. In the Best of Realty competition are awarded projects that significantly represent the achievements and abilities of architects, builders, designers, developers and, last but not least, real estate agents when selling or renting them. Their selection and final order is decided by an expert jury, which presents its reasoning and provides it to the media in a press release.

Masaryčka
The Masaryčka project of the Penta company was ranked 1st in the Administrative Centers category. This is a design by the world-famous studio Zaha Hadid Architects. With its unique golden facade, it gives a new look to the surroundings of the Masaryk station in Prague, which was a brownfield so far. It will offer opportunities for both commercial and administrative use.
In the buildings, you will find WC modules, flush plates, outdoor drains and outlets from Alca.

Port7
Port7 is a multifunctional complex created by Skanska on a brownfield site in Prague Holešovice. It won 2nd place in the Administrative Centers category. The jury praised the successful revitalization of the neglected environment around the Vltava River. The complex of buildings will offer apartments, offices, spaces for leisure activities and gastronomy. It also includes a two-hectare public space with a river promenade, a new embankment and a footbridge.
The buildings have WC modules, flush plates, traps and floor drains from Alca.

Fragment
1st place in the Large Residential Projects category went to the Fragment project of the development company Trigema, which is located in Karlín in Prague 8. It was awarded primarily for its exceptional architecture, high-quality workmanship, well-thought-out details and intelligent technology for managing the entire building and individual housing units. The unusual architectural rendering is underlined by the artworks of David Černý. This residential complex was also awarded in the Environmental Project of the Year category.

Parvi Cibulka
Also in Prague Košíře was built a residential building which earned an award in the Large-Scale Residential Projects category. It is the work of the developer YIT Stavo s.r.o. and the jury placed it in 2nd place. They appreciated the sensitivity with which the original, industrial character of the building was preserved, as it is a former factory.
Alca was the main supplier of sanitary equipment.

Jinonický dvůr
The 3rd place in the same category won the residential project Jinonický dvůr, which was created in cooperation with the companies CREDITAS Real Estate and DIFESA a.s. The jury positively evaluated the investors' efforts to preserve the traditional appearance of the locality. The intimate character is compatible with the atmosphere of old Jinonice.
Sanitary equipment in the apartments was supplied by Alca.
