iF Design 2024 is in the bag!
Great news came from Berlin on Monday 29 April 2024. iF Design Award, one of the most prestigious design awards, was granted to Alca at a ceremony in Berlin's Friedrichstadt-Palast.
Success in the homeland and abroad
The award was presented for flush plates Linka and Dot.Dot. This is already the second award for those flush plates this year - the first was the domestic Czech Grand Design competition, where they won third place in the category “Manufacturer of the Year”. "Receiving the iF Design Award is an important milestone for Alca, which emphasizes its position as a leader in the field of design and innovation in the world of sanitary technology. It's not the first award we've won it for the flush plates, but it's the most important to date," comments Marketing Department Manager Stanislav Pluháček, who took over the award in Berlin.
Love at first touch
Linka and Dot.Dot flush plates impressed the jury with its elegant minimalist design, reliable functionality and high-quality material processing. They stand out due to the gentle rounding of the body and pleasant material, which makes them an aesthetic and user-interesting piece. The series Linka and Dot.Dot are available in different color variants, so they perfectly fit into any interior. This is a second victory in the iF Design Award for Alca. For the first time we succeeded in 2018, when we have scored in the competition with flush plates NIGHT LIGHT
The oldest award in the field of design
The iF Design Award is a prestigious international competition that recognizes product design in many areas. It has been established in 1953 and it is one of the oldest and most respected design competitions in the world.
Thousands of designers and companies from dozens of countries around the world participate the competition every year. Alca thus shines beside the companies such as Microsoft, Adidas or Škoda Auto.
